Before you begin
What's the difference between composite and wood decking?
Composite decking doesn't rot, splinter, or need staining. It costs more upfront but requires virtually zero maintenance and carries 25–30 year warranties. Pressure-treated wood is less expensive initially but requires annual maintenance and will eventually rot. We typically recommend composite for the total cost of ownership.
Does my deck need a permit?
In most jurisdictions, decks over 600mm (24 inches) above grade require a permit. We handle the permit application and ensure your deck is inspected and compliant.
